IMPORTANT DEADLINES - PLEASE READ
- You have 15 days after the guest's departure to request a link to file a damage claim. You do not have to finish uploading all necessary documents at this point, but you must at least begin the claim after receiving the link.
- You are allowed 45 days after opening the claim to finish uploading documents and adding any other necessary details. As long as you have added your own contact information to the claim as mentioned above, you will receive alerts regarding any missing/incorrect details.
Open the reservation in question and scroll down to the Coverage Policies section.
Click Info to the right of the guest's name.
In the pop-up window, click the Send Claim Link button.
You will receive an email with a link to file your claim with Rental Guardian.
The contact information contained in the link will be OneRooftop's by default. You must update this to your own, otherwise you will not receive further communication from Rental Guardian regarding this claim.
Proceed with the next steps for filing the claim, including adding details of the incident and uploading any related documentation.
Most claims will require at least these two types of documentation:
- Photos of damage
- Receipt/Invoice for replacement or repair
Incidents involving theft will also require a police report.
Please note! You must select the correct file type when uploading your documentation.
A receipt for a replacement item should be uploaded as an Invoice/Receipt. The example below is incorrect, as it has been added as a Photo/Image of Damage.
