This help guide provides an overview of how to anonymize guest data if this action is requested. Please be sure you have Enabled Privacy Compliance Settings in your Account Settings page.
Under GDPR, a guest after her stay has the right to have all personally identifiable data “forgotten” by the property.
OneRooftop has added an “Anonymize Guest” button to guest’s page.
- Anonymization will be a combination of obfuscating and deleting data
- It is an Irreversible Action
- Business Activity between property and guest must be concluded in order to anonymize

As mentioned above, anonymizing a guest will be a include both obfuscating personally identifying data, and in other cases it will be fully redacted (deleted) from the database. This action is irreversible so you will be asked to confirm the action.

Data that will be Obfuscated
First Name → Replace with “Anonymized Guest”
Last Name → Replace with “{random unique numerical identifier}”
Email → Replace with “anonymized-guest-{random unique numerical identifier}@example.com”
Data that will be Redacted
The following data will be deleted if it exists on the database:
- Guest’s Photo
- Phone
- Cell Phone
- Date of Birth
- Address 1
- Address 2
- Document Number
- Document Issue Date
- Document Issuing Country
- Document Expiration Date
